Ms. Evelean Byrd

Ms. Evelean Byrd, 63 of Lumberton transitioned into eternal rest on Monday Jan. 23, 2017 at Southeastern Health of Lumberton.

Ms. Evelean was born on January 29, 1953 to the late Cora Lee McCray of Lumberton, NC. 

Early in life Evelean was baptized and attended The Freewill Baptist Church in Fairmont, NC. Evelean was a loving person and was known to speak her mind.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Cora Lee McCray, a son, Elvis Ray Brown and a brother, Carl Brown.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories, two daughters, Janice Richardson (Leroy) of Dillon, SC and Sharetta Elleby (Larry) of Loris, SC; one son, James McKoy of Dillon, SC; four brothers, James Brown and Danny Brown (Ellen) both of Lumberton, NC; Roosevelt Brown (Janet) of Loris, SC and Jimmy Lee Brown (Avon) of Conway, SC; five sisters, Sarah Fields (James), Shirley Mae Alford, Hazel McCray and Susie McCray all of Lumberton, NC and Ruth Wilder (Leroy) of Conway, SC; ten grandchildren, eight great-grands, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
