Ms. Bessie McRae

      Ms. Bessie L. McRae  95 of Lumberton formally of Fairmont passed away Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016. Mrs. Bessie McRae daughter of the late Mary Magaline Moses and David Wells was born February 16, 1921 in Sumter, SC.
      She was a devoted mother and grandmother that never met any strangers. She always greeted you with a smile and had encouraging words. She  attended Hamer School in South Carolina. She was a homemaker and loved reading her bible, listening to gospel music and cooking.
      She was preceded in death by two sons, six sisters and three brothers . 
      She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her sister, Eliza Ruth Pittman of Hoboken, New Jersey; one daughter-in-law, Pearl McRae of Fairmont, NC; four granddaughters, Orlene McRae of Fairmont, NC; Mary Powell of Charlotte, NC; Teresa McRae of Fayetteville, NC and Angela Hill of Conway, SC; seven grandsons,  James McRae (Dora) of Lumberton, NC; Anthony McRae (Chareese) of Fairmont, NC; Richard McRae of Lumberton, NC; Charles McRae (Renee) of Fayetteville, NC; Lonnie McRae of New York, NY; Pat Bullard of Fairmont, NC and Leroy McRae of Lumberton, NC; a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
