Mr. Murdie W. McDuffie Jr.

     Mr. Murdie W. McDuffie Jr. 77​ of Fairmont was born on June 2, 1939.He transitioned into eternal rest on April 20, 2017 at Southeastern Health of Lumberton.

     He worked many years logging with Danny Walters until he had to stop in 1997 because of health problems. He joined Southern Grove under the leadership of Pastor David Patterson. He relocated to Mt. Carmel Holiness Church with Bishop T.J. Hill.

     He was preceded in death by one stepson, Mr. Jeffery Mitchell.

     He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 20 years, Mrs. Kathy McDuffie, one stepson, Mr. Craig Mitchell of Rowland, NC; two stepdaughters, Sarah Cromartie and Nicole Cromartie both of Fairmont, NC; ten step-grandchildren, four sister-in-law's, Peggy Jackson (Montrell), Judy Love (Ernest) and Linda Mitchell all of Lumberton, NC; and Brenda Seals of Rockingham NC; three brother-in-law's, Robert Mitchell of Lumberton, NC; Clifton Mitchell (Michelle) of Rowland, NC and Charles Bethea (Catherine) of Winston Salem, NC and a host of other relatives and friends.
