Mr. Hughie Allen Thompson

Brother Hughie Allen Thompson the son of Mr. Jessie Malcolm Thompson and Mrs. Mary Lee Scott Thompson of North Carolina. Was born on November 13, 1966 in Lumberton North Carolina.

Brother Hughie Thompson was a loving, loyal, dedicated and hardworking; husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a graduate of Fairmont High School and also furthered his education through his career of sixteen years with the City of Lumberton, in which he obtained the title of supervisor within his first two years of service. In his youth brother Thompson was a member of Turner Station AME Church in Marietta, NC where he served as a junior trustee and was one of the youths who helped to place the church steeple on the church. As an adult brother Hughie led his family to Mt Carmel Pentecostal Holiness Church a Division of the United Holiness Churches of America where they became members’ on March 09, 2014 there he served his church as sexton, trustee and cook.

 Brother Thompson took pride in everything he was able to accomplish in his church, home and at work with the help of the Lord. In the year 2006 brother Thompson battled cancer and was blessed to be healed. He became very ill in August of 2016 and was hospitalized. He held on to his faith in the Lords ability to heal his body and was able to return to his church and family. Brother Thompson was readmitted to the hospital on October 4, 2016 due to complications and on Tuesday October 11, 2016 at the age of forty- nine found complete healing, peace and rest with the Lord.

Brother Thompson leaves to cherish his memory; God parent Pastor Mary Renfrow of Fairmont NC; Mother-in-law Minister Carolyn Green of Orrum, NC; Wife Andrea Green- Thompson of Orrum, NC; four sons; Tyrus Thompson, Jairus Thompson and Charles Smith of Fairmont NC and Christopher Jessie-Allen Thompson of Orrum.  NC; a daughter Alexandria Marie Thompson of Orrum, NC and a granddaughter Jurnee Thompson of Elizabethtown, NC; two sisters Gloria Thompson Currie of Fairmont NC and Connie Dortch of Lumberton, NC; one brother Larcell Thomas of Springfield, NY; two special sisters in love Jenifer Renfrow and Melissa Renfrow both of Winston- Salem NC; and three sister-in-law’s Mary Green of Columbia SC, De Nang Green of Orrum, NC and Shelly Limoges of NY; two brother-in-law’s Darren Harris of Lumberton NC, Maurice Currie of St Pauls, NC  and Anthony Houston of GA; two uncles Larry Larcell Thompson (Deborah) of Santee SC and Willis Thompson of Deerfield FL; and one aunt Leola Walters (Jim) of Fairmont, NC and a whole host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Brother Thompson is preceded in death by his parents Jessie Malcolm Thompson and Mary Lee Thompson; sister Jessica Thompson; Godfather Vincent Renfrow of Fairmont NC; father-in-law Elder David Green of Orrum NC and two sisters-in-law’s De Nita Harris of Orrum, NC and Bernice Washington of Tallahassee FL.
